Tinsukia DM declares ‘No Fly Zones’ around key Digboi Refinery installations

TINSUKIA: The Tinsukia District Magistrate imposed restriction on flying of drones within a 2 km-radius of installations of Digboi Refinery in areas like Refinery, LPG Dispatch Unit, New Tank Farm Area, and Nazirating Water Station after a ‘No Fly Zone’ request from the Deputy GM (Security) IOCL AOD Digboi Refinery. DM Swapneel Paul in exercise of powers u/s 163 BNSS-2023 further imposed restriction on flying paragliders, paramotors, power hand gliders, microlight aircraft, and hot air balloons in the area.
