TINSUKIA: The Tinsukia Press Club has set a timeframe of 48 hours for Tinsukia Bar Association to apologize after its president made 'humiliating' remarks against the print media in connection with publication of news items concerning Hotel Mirana.

In an emergency meeting held in the press club premises on Friday with Kamal Talukdar, president of TPC in the chair, the members unanimously deplored the aggressive attitude of the Bar Association president who refused to address any queries from the media persons at an unofficial press meet on June 15 which was purportedly aimed to target the print media as alleged by e-media persons who attended the press meet. This decision to set a timeframe was adopted after threadbare discussion.
