Tinsukia Traffic constable Girin Saikia succumbs to injuries

TINSUKIA: A traffic constable of Tinsukia, Girin Saikia, who was fatally injured and shifted to the hospital in an unconscious state, died at AMCH on Wednesday night. He was returning home late evening on Wednesday after duty hours when he was allegedly attacked by miscreants in front of the DC’s office. According to reports, ASP Saurav Saikia, while returning home, found Girin in a pool of blood lying on the road and made immediate arrangement for medical aid. The police suspect it to be a case of murder as the body bore injury marks made by sharp weapons. Police picked up one person for interrogation.
