Training for Presiding Officers and First Polling Officers held in Bongaigaon

BONGAIGAON: The district administration of Bongaigaon is preparing for the smooth conduct of the third phase of Assam Assembly election to be held on April 6.

In this regard, the first phase oThe district administration of Bongaigaon is preparing for the smooth conduct of the third phase of Assam Assembly election to be held on April 6.f training among 636 personnel who are deputed in 242 polling booths and 18 auxiliary polling booths, was held in five rooms of Bongaigaon Birjhora Kanya Mahavidyalaya. The training was given by master trainers on their assigned duties and also on the handling of EVM and VV PPAT. Before the training, the venue was sanitized. Also, all the trainees were provided with masks and sanitizer after thermal scanning.

At the very beginning, those trainees who are yet to be vaccinated were requested to take the vaccine for COVID-19. Bongaigaon District Election Officer and District Commissioner Dr. MS Subhalaxmi took part in this training and made the Presiding Officers and First Polling Officers aware of their duties and responsibilities. She also reminded everyone of the COVID protocol to be followed in the polling booths. She requested everyone to follow their duties and responsibilities diligently.

Different personnel like ADC Pankaj Chamua, District Information Officer Bijay Mazumdar, Assistant Commissioner Manmi Saikia, Circle Officer, Dangtol Revenue Circle Dr. Sonasree Brahma, District Information and Public Relations Officer i/c Kabita Deka and employees of the DC office, Bongaigaon were present in the training programme.
