Truck loaded with paddy seized in Demow

DEMOW: A truck loaded with 570 bags of paddy was seized. The truck (NL 08 D 9302) was heading to Titabor from Demow. On a specific information, the vehicle was stopped in Demow. The Demow Police team seized the Truck on Tuesday night. After the incident came to light on Wednesday Karmadev Brahma, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar District and Mary Ralsun, Circle Officer (A) of Demow Revenue Circle reached the spot and took stock of the situation and started investigation. On the other hand in association with the District Agriculture Department and Food and Civil Supplies Department the measurement of the following paddy was done. The paddy was kept at a centre in Demow.
