Two arrested in Bokakhat for black marketing of LPG cylinders

Numaligarh: Acting on a tip-off, Bokakhat Police recovered 61 cooking gas cylinders and 104 cooking gas consumer cards of PM Ujjwala Yojana from Sapjuri area near Bokakhat.

Two persons involved in the black marketing of the cooking gas cylinders were also arrested. They were identified as Pintu Sahu and Sunil Gupta of Sapjuri Bongali gaon. A Tata ACE vehicle bearing registration no- AS-03-BC-4797, used for carrying the gas cylinders, was also seized in the police raid. According to police sources, the arrested duo has been doing this illegal trade of cooking gas cylinders since a long time and a cooking gas distribution agency is also involved in the racket. The arrested duo has been sent to jail and police investigation is on.
