Two drug peddlers arrested in Sarupathar
Two drug peddlers who were coming from Bokajan in Karbi Anglong for a drug deal were apprehended at Nawghat in Chungajan area

SARUPATHAR: Two drug peddlers who were coming from Bokajan in Karbi Anglong for a drug deal were apprehended at Nawghat in Chungajan area under Dhansiri subdivision. Based on inputs, a trap was laid and naka checking was placed under Chungajan police station by the SDPO, Trinayan Bhuyan of Sarupathar.
Around 13.67 grams of suspected brown sugar were seized and recovered from their possession. The peddlers were identified as Saidul Islam and Abul Kalam, both from the village Sapkhati in Morigaon district.
Saidul Islam was wanted in Khatkhati police station and a case no. 138/21 U/S-21(b)/29 was also registered against him under NDPS Act. Further interrogation of the two arrested peddlers is going on.
