Two drug traffickers arrested by Sivasagar Police

SIVASAGAR: Intensifying its crackdown on drug peddling, Sivasagar Police arrested two drug peddlers in Sivasagar and seized brown sugar from their possession while they were carrying the contraband drugs in their vehicle on Wednesday. They have been identified as Bitu Thakur of Ganakpatty and Anurag Borgohain of Habiram Bora Path of Sivasagar town.

After getting specific inputs, Sivasagar police launched an operation and arrested both of them while they were in the vehicle bearing registration number AS-04Q-9443, carrying the brown sugar near the Deputy Commissioner's office, and seized 11.46 gram of brown sugar from their possession, said Jugal Kishore Kalita, Officer-in-Charge of Sivasagar Police Station. Bitu Thakur had been arrested earlier also for drug peddling.
