Two illegal sawmills busted in Goalpara

Goalpara: The Goalpara Forest Department in its two sudden operations undertaken on Friday afternoon at Selapara and Dayrong under Krishnai range office in Assam Meghalaya border areas, busted two illegal sawmills. The operation which was undertaken at the supervision of Nayan Rajbongshi, ACF, also seized timber worth 4 lakh rupees. The timber includes 25 sal logs, 17 tik logs, etc. Protection ranger Kuldip Das and Krishnai range officer Shivani Pegu assisted in the operations.
