Two MACs (Members of Autonomous Council) took oath at DC conference hall, Haflong

HAFLONG: The oath-taking ceremony of the two nominated MACs (Members of Autonomous Council), Liton Chakraborty and Issory Prasad Joishi, was held at the DC conference hall in presence of NCHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa and chairperson Ranu Langthasa.

The oath was administered by the Deputy Commissioner of Dima Hasao, Amitabh Rajkhowa. Out of the 30 members of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, two are nominated and rests 28 are elected. The nomination notification was issued by the government vide letter No. HAD.116/2012/16 on 21-12-2019. Others present during the ceremony were Executive Members, Members of Autonomous Council, party president Donphainon Thaosen, Principal Secretary (N), Mukut Kemprai, other council secretaries and well-wishers.
