Two persons injured in road mishap at Tamulpur

BAKSA: Two persons were injured in a road mishap that took place at Sauraguri on the Tamulpur-Nagrijuli- Udalguri Road under Tamulpur Police Station on Sunday morning.

The critically injured include a four-year old girl -- Purnima Boro-- and her parents -- Unhang Boro (55) and his wife Deepika Boro (50). Eye witneses reported the incident to the police, and also rushed the injured to the Tamulpur Primary Health Centre (PHC). They were sent to Guwahati for better treatment as their condition was critical.

After the accident, the driver of the dumper (AS-25-DC-2885) fled from the spot. Tamulpur police brought the dumper to the Tamulpur Police Station.

However, four-year-old Purnima Boro breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the PHC.
