Two suspected UALA cadres apprehended by Army in Boko

Boko: The Army apprehended two suspected United A’Chik Liberation Army (UALA) cadres with arms from Salpara village under Hahim police outpost in Boko along the Assam-Meghalaya border on Friday night. UALA is a Garo extremist organization. A case has been registered 139/2020 in Boko Police station and after interrogation, they were forwarded to judicial custody. Boko PS officer-in-charge of Jogendra Barman said that a team of Boko Army camp along with Boko Police launched an operation in the area. The cadres trying to abscond but police and army personnel caught them. The cadres are Raktin Marak, who works as co-driver of a private mini truck, and Silseng Sangma, who was village secretary for monitoring of PMGSY works. Both are from Salpara village. A 9 mm and a 7.62 mm pistol were recovered from their possession, Barman added.
