UBPO to hold 8th annual session of the central committee at Langhin in Karbi Anglong

LAKHIMPUR: UBPO (United Bodo People's Organization) will organize the 8th annual session of the Central Committee at Langhin in Karbi Anglong. The event will be held in the month of February in the upcoming year.

It was informed by UBPO president Manoranjan Basumatari through a press release. The press release further stated that the decision was taken in a general assembly meeting of the UBPO which was held in the auditorium of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha Bhavan located at Garhchuk Ahom Gaon. The meeting commenced with president Manoranjan Basumatari in the chair in the presence of UBPO advisers Bipin Goyari, Rajendra Kumar Brahma, Sukreswar Goyari. General secretary Pitambar Brahma explained the objective of the programme. The crucial meeting has taken a decision to hold literary and sports competitions among the students and youths in connection with the 8th annual session. The meeting also held a detailed discussion over various organizational issues and took resolutions. UBPO chairperson Badal Mussahari, vice-president Lalit Chandra Brahma, assistant general secretary Amit Kumar Basumatari were among those who were present in the meeting.
