Udalguri DC lauds role of media persons during COVID-19 pandemic

UDALGURI: Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia, the Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri, lauded the role of local media persons during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was addressing media persons at Udalguri Higher Secondary School on the occasion of National Press Day on Monday. He also acknowledged the media's role in the dissemination of messages for peace and development. He lit a lamp in the beginning of the session.

Media person Baidyanath Upadhyaya was the resource person on the occasion. He emphasized the role of media persons in the locality during the COVID-19 pandemic period. He also stressed the significance of National Press Day and the media ethics laid down by the Press Council of India.

Nilakhi Baishya, Assistant Commissioner and i/c of DIPRO Udalguri, thanked all the media persons and DIPR employees for their cooperation to make the programme a success.
