Under IRCS, World AIDS Day observed at Bilasipara

BILASIPARA: Under the aegis of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Bilasipara sub-district branch, the World AIDS Day was observed at Bilasipara on Sunday. In this connection, a seminar was held on the premises of Dr. BR Ambedkar Bhavan, Bilasipara on the topic ‘Know your Status’ with Dayal Paul as a moderator. Dr. Kanu Lal Das, chairman, IRCS, Bilasipara sub-district branch explained in detail the causes of AIDS and its prevention.

DEMOW: Under the patronage of Sewali Adolescent Group Kaliapani and with the help of Sonapur Social Development Society, an NGO, World AIDS Day was observed in Kaliapani Borhulla on Sunday. The programme started with an awareness rally on HIV AIDS where the members of Sewali Adolescent Group Kaliapani, members of the Sonapur Social Development Society and other dignitaries took part. A drawing competition was organized on the topic Swachhta. After that, a quiz competition was also organized on the topic of HIV AIDS. A general meeting was held where prizes were given away to the winners.
