Unidentified woman dies after jumping from Darrang Cancer Centre roof

MANGALDAI: An unidentified woman took her own life on Monday afternoon at Darrang Cancer Center at Mangaldai. According to the information, the woman jumped from the roof of the third floor of the centre. The identity of the woman who died by suicide is yet to be established. Sources from the Darrang Cancer Centre indicate that the woman was not a cancer patient. CCTV footage captured her entering the premises through a side gate and ascending the stairs. Additionally, a sandal was recovered from the roof of the third floor. Hearing a sudden noise near the centre’s parking area, staff rushed to the scene and found the woman in a critical condition. She later succumbed to her injuries. Police arrived at the scene, conducted a preliminary investigation, and brought the body to Mangaldai Civil Hospital. The Darrang Cancer Centre advised anyone seeking further information to contact the Mangaldai police station.
