DIBRUGARH: mjunction services limited, India’s largest B2B e-commerce company, launched its flagship social responsibility initiative Project Jyoti in Assam on Thursday. At an event organized at the Moran Blind School at Moranhat, 20 visually-challenged students were handed over mobile phones by mjunction in the first phase, with pre-loaded applications to help them read and study more effectively using mobile technology.

“Project Jyoti” was conceptualized and designed by mjunction, and launched in 2018 in Chhattisgarh. Since then, it has travelled to states such as West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir and Meghalaya. The project has impacted more than 1500 lives of visually-challenged students since it was launched. mjunction launched its tea e-marketplace in 2020, and has its own state-of-the-art warehouses in Jorhat and Guwahati. Till date, more than 4.2 million kg of tea has been offered on its platforms, and it has a shorter sale cycle time as compared to other auction centres. Through Project Jyoti, mjunction aims to make a positive difference to its business ecosystem community. The launch programme was attended by Susanta Karmakar, incharge, Tea Board Dibrugarh, Dr Nazrana Ahmed, MD, Ahmed Tea Company Private Ltd, Polash Hazarika, BDO Khoang block. Trustee of Moran Blind School D Agarwal was present and so was Dr Homiyar Mobedji, Disability Expert and Knowledge Partner of mjunction. mjunction was represented by Rituraj Hazarika and Piya Nandi, stated a press release.
