PATHSALA: Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Nalbari, a premier institution of Nalbari, organised a Parivar Sammelan (Family Congregation) for the families with children of age 3-6 years of greater Nalbari district, one of the integral regular activities of the Vidyalaya.
With the principle of imparting good sanskaras (values) and to preserve and practise the indigenous cultural traditions of Maa Bharati, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya organises various unique programmes from time to time. With this noble objective, the Vidyalaya organised the Parivar Sammelan (Family Congregation) for its stakeholders as well as non-VKV parents on its premises.
The active participation of over a hundred parents and more than 50 children (3-6 years) in various events created an ambience of merriment at the Vidyalaya. Commencing with the traditional Mangalacharan, various competitions viz. Sit and colour, Pani- Paar (Land-Water), Chocolate Race, Mono Act Competitions for the children, Musical Chair for the mothers and 200 Metre Sprint for the fathers were conducted. Sharing their experience before the prize distribution, a few parents and grandparents expressed their immense pleasure and gratitude to be a part of such an event. In the second phase of the programme, Krishna Bhattarai, a teacher of the Vidyalaya, delivered a speech about the activities of Vivekananda Kendra, the mother organisation of the VKVs. Hereafter, Ritwik Chakravarty, Principal of the Vidyalaya, gave away the prizes to the winners.
