Walkathon to mark 31st Road Safety Week flagged off in Tezpur

Tezpur: Deputy Commissioner Manvendra Pratap Singh on Saturday flagged off a walkathon to mark the 31st Road Safety Week being observed across the country in a bid to create awareness about road safety measures, from Church Field in Tezpur.

The week will be observed in the district in joint collaboration with the district administration and District Transport Office with various activities and programmes with a view to create awareness about road safety.

An eye check-up and health camp under the supervision of Joint Director, Health Services has been set up at ASTC bus stand, Tezpur as part of the week-long programme. Leaflets carrying awareness messages on road safety are also being distributed among the public as part of the programme.
