DIBRUGARH: The week-long Vigilance Awareness Week at Oil India Limited (OIL) concluded with an Online Vendors' Meet and Grievance Redressal Programme on November 2. Earlier, the week-long campaign was inaugurated by Resident Chief Executive (RCE) OIL DK Das at its Field Head Quarter, Duliajan on October 22.

As part of this year's theme 'Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat (Vigilant India, Prosperous India)', OIL had displayed banners for publicity in various locations in the township and at Dibrugarh and Guwahati Airports to spread and sensitize people to be vigilant and fight against corruption.

During the week-long celebrations, a series of events on the theme 'Vigilant India – Prosperous India' were organized for the employees. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the activities this year were restricted and confined to online participation. As a part of the occasion, pledge of integrity was taken by all employees of OIL. Online drawing competition for students of various schools of Duliajan, Digboi and Moran was conducted wherein around 200 students actively participated. Online quiz competition for school students was also arranged in Duliajan, Jodhpur, Kolkata and Kakinada wherein more than 480 students participated. Online quiz competition and an essay-writing competition on the theme 'Eradication of corruption leads to prosperity' was also organized among the employees of OIL. Essay-writing competition on the theme 'Role of women for vigilant and prosperous India' was organized for the spouses of employees of OIL.

As part of the awareness programme, a webinar on 'Vigilance Administration in India' was organized wherein Rajiv Rishi, DSP of Central Bureau of Investigation, was the speaker. An 'Online Sensitization Programme' for all the executives posted in Field Headquarters was conducted by the internal resource persons of OIL.
