Dhekiajuli: In a clear reflection of his commitment to inclusive governance and grassroots empowerment, the Cabinet Minister of Assam and popular MLA of Dhekiajuli, Ashok Singhal, on Saturday chaired a high-level workshop at Shahid Smarak Udyan Auditorium under the banner of the Assam Government’s flagship scheme ‘Abhilashi Arunodoi 3.0’.
The purpose of the workshop was to ensure that not a single genuine beneficiary is left out of this transformative financial assistance programme, which has already uplifted countless families across the state.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Singhal made a heartfelt appeal to all field-level officers and implementation teams to act with empathy, precision, and accountability so that the scheme reaches every eligible woman in the constituency. He emphasized that welfare must not remain on paper; it must be felt in every household, especially among the most vulnerable.Earlier today, further demonstrating his proactive approach, the minister also inaugurated a comprehensive Health and Wellness Camp at Chitalmari High School in Dhekiajuli.
The initiative, part of his mission to promote preventive healthcare and lifestyle awareness, offered teleconsultations, yoga sessions, basic screenings, and maternal-child health services. “Health is not just a government responsibility; it must be a personal commitment too,” he remarked while encouraging people to adopt boiled meals once a week, reduce oils and spices, and maintain regular fitness practices.
In addition, Minister Singhal chaired a virtual review meeting regarding preparations for the upcoming International Day of Yoga (June 21). He instructed all stakeholders to go beyond ceremonial observance and integrate yoga into everyday life. “Let yoga not be limited to just a single day. It should become a way of living, a discipline of the body and the mind,” he said.
