Workshop on Dr Bhupen Hazarika’s song to begin in Bongaigaon on July 23

BONGAIGAON: In remembrance of the legendary singer of Assam, Dr Bhupen Hazarika, a workshop on his songs has been planned at Bongaigaon. The 4-day long workshop has been organized by Borpara Nabajeuti Club. Addressing the media on Friday, Sankar Sarkar, Co-ordinator of the workshop, said that it would start from July 23. “Our main motto is to introduce the new generation to Dr Bhupen Hazarika’s songs. This is the time of summer vacation and we supposed this time to be perfect for such a programme. Alekhya Chakraborty, renowned singer, will be the Trainer at this workshop, to be held at Birjhora Kanya College,” he said. The club members appealed to the people requesting their participation in the workshop.
