Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev handed over cheque of Rs 2.5 lakh to martyred soldier Maneshwar Basumatary's family members in Tamulpur

Guwahati: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Wednesday visited the residence of Martyred CRPF soldier Maneshwar Basumatary and paid his heartiest tribute to the deceased soldier at his native village in Tamulpur under Baksa District.

Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev also handed over a cheque of Rs 2.5 lakh rupees to the family members of the deceased soldier today.

Apart from this Baba Ramdev while praising the Indian Army, he lauded the recent reply by the Indian Air Force for their counter reply to Pakistan with a surgical strike after the terror attack on CRPF Jawans in Pulwama District in Jammu and Kashmir.

It may be mentioned that at least 44 jawans were martyred in the terror attack by the Islamic terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.

Condemning the Pulwama attack, Ramdev Baba also urged the Indian Government to take appropriate action.

Earlier, Assam government had also handed over a cheque of Rs 20 lakh of ex-gratia to the family of the martyred jawan Maneshwar Basumatary.

Speaking before the media, Baba Ramdev said, “I congratulate the Indian Army including the Indian Air Force and the Government of India for teaching a lesson to neighbouring country Pakistan. But, the war is not over. Pakistan should be taught a tough lesson."
