SIVASAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stones and dedicated to the nation various developmental projects in Kedarnath. He inaugurated Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi and unveiled the statue of Adi Shankaracharya.
In conjunction with the event, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal offered prayers at the Shiva Dol in Sivasagar. The Union Minister also joined the programme of the Prime Minister virtually in an event organized by the BJP Sivasagar Zila Samity. Minister Jogen Mohan, MP Topon Kumar Gogoi, Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, MLA Dharmeshwar Konwar and other dignitaries were also present in the meeting.
Speaking at the event in Sivasagar, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, "The initiatives taken by PM Modi today has given spiritual strength to 130 crore Indians. With the ideals of great saints like Adi Guru Shankaracharjya, Modi ji has brought huge transformations in the country. The younger generation is now realizing the need for conservation of our history, culture and heritage. The old and young, together have to dedicate themselves in service of the nation," stated a press release.
