Aizwal Battalion of Assam Rifles constructs toilet block for Mizoram village

Silchar: Aizwal Battalion of HQ 23 Sector Assam Rifles under aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) constructed a 3-seated toilet block under Operation Samaritan project 2018-19 in village Tualcheng of Champhai District, Mizoram. Assam Rifles has always been committed in development of the northeastern region and providing assistance to local populace. The toilet block was constructed with an aim to provide a healthy and disease free environment to the villagers. The toilet block was handed over to village authorities in an inaugural function on March 18. C. Romalsawma, VCP Tualcheng inaugurated the event which was attended by members of VCP and YMA and a large number of local people. The VCP conveyed his sincere gratitude to Assam Rifles for carrying out development projects in the village.
