Mugdhajyoti Dev Mahanta new SP of Cachar

Silchar: Mugdhajyoti Dev Mahanta, APS, will be the new Superintendent of Police of Cachar district. Superintendent of Police Rakesh Roushan, IAS, has been transferred as the new SP of Biswanath-Chariali.

Mugdhajyoti Dev Mahanta was earlier the Superintendent of Police of Tinsukia district. Rakesh Reddy, ASP, has also been promoted as SP 26 no AP (IR) Bn Commandant. The new DIG of Southern Assam Range will be Prashanta Kumar Dutta. Manabendra Debroy, APS, will serve as the new Superintendent of Police of Karimganj district.
