CRPF sub-inspector from Assam dies from coronavirus in Delhi

GUWAHATI: CRPF sub-inspector who was a resident of Assam's Barpeta district has died from coronavirus in Delhi. SI Ikram Hussain was posted with 31st Battalion of the CRPF in Noida. He contracted the infection from a nursing staff within the force. He died due to “breathlessness” on Tuesday at Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi.

CM of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal tweeted on this, "Deeply saddened to learn of the demise of

@crpfindia SI Md Ikram Hussain who belonged to Barpeta, Assam. Till his last breath, this brave son of Maa Bharti kept fighting against #COVID19. His undying spirit inspires us to sacrifice everything for the nation. My condolences."

So far more than 50 people have died in Delhi from coronavirus.
