Assam bow out in Senior National Volleyball Championship quarters

GUWAHATI: Assam’s men team bowed out from the Senior National Volleyball Championship losing their quarter-final tie to Karnataka at Bhubaneswar yesterday. Karnataka, the defending champion, beat Assam in a well-contested tie 22-25, 25-19, 17-25, 25-21 and 15-11. It was the first occasion when Assam entered into the quarter-final of the Senior National Volleyball Championship. The working president of the Assam Volleyball Association Pradip Hazarika informed that the entire team would be felicitated and will be handed over cash awards.
