Assam lose by a single run in U-23 women One Day Cricket

GUWAHATI: Assam lost to Saurashtra by a single run in a well-contested match of the U-23 women One Day Cricket held in Chennai today. Batting first, Saurashtra scored 146-8 in their 50 overs. Urmila Chatterjee picked up 3-16. Although Monikha Das (52) played a well-composed knock she didn’t get support from the other end and Assam were bowled out 145 in 48.3 overs. Opener Archana Dutta (33) was the other major contributor for Assam in the game.
