GUWAHATI: Assam are struggling against Bengal in the Vijay Merchant tie at the NFRSA stadium in Maligaon today. Chasing Bengal’s first innings total 372-7 declared Assam were bowled out paltry 72 runs in their first innings and were forced to follow on. Host were 13-1 in the second innings at sumps on day II and they were trailing by 287 runs. In the first innings 14 was the highest individual score which was scored by opener Arnab Bora. Siddharth Singh, the most successful bowler for Bengal, picked up 4-34.
