GUWAHATI: Assam will take on Tripura in their last group league match in the Ranji trophy from tomorrow. The match will be held at the ACA Stadium, Barsapara.

Both teams are out of the title race. Assam, collected only 14 points from their previous 8 games, are now at the 8th place in the points table. Tripura are one place behind then Assam with six points from same number of games.

This season Assam struggled to get rhythm in their performance. They made changes in the squad in almost every game but hardly made any impact in their performance. Among the eight games, played this season, Assam won only one and lost four. The batting was the most worried factor and there were a couple of occasions when Assam bowled out below 100 this season. Only three batsmen scored more than 300 runs this time and the chart is lead by Riyan Parag (437 runs from 12 innings). The other two are Gokul Sarma (393 runs from 13 innings) and Rishav Das (359 runs from 13 innings).
