48th Assam State Weightlifting Championship: Charaideo, Dhansiri emerge as champion in Haflong
Charaideo and Dhansiri bagged men's and women's team title in the 48th Assam State Weightlifting Championship which concluded today.

GUWAHATI: Charaideo and Dhansiri bagged men's and women's team title in the 48th Assam State Weightlifting Championship which concluded today. The meet was held at Haflong. It was the first major weightlifting event after the COVID-19 break and around 300 players and officials from different parts of the State took part in the championship. The meet was held in Youth, Junior and Senior categories.
Award winners: Youth Boys: Suditya Baruah (Charaideu); Youth Girl: Panchami Sonowal (Dhemaji); Junior Men: Ritupan Nsrah (Dhemaji); Junior Women: Boranali Borah (Sivasagar); Senior Men: Nitu Tamuli; Senior Women:Boranali Borah, Sivasagar; Best Team: Men-Charaideo, Best Team Women-Dhansiri.
