GUWAHATI: A FIFA delegation accompanied by the LOC officials will visit Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium and practice arenas in the city tomorrow to evaluate the progress made towards the preparation for the Women's U-17 World Cup.

Oliver Vogt from FIFA Tournaments and Events division will lead the team.

Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium is already in FIFA’s map after the stadium hosted the U-17 Men's World cup matches in 2017. This time also it was shortlisted for the Women's U-17 Championship which will be held from November 2 next year in India.

Apart from the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium the delegate will likely to visit the practice arenas which included LNIPE campus at Sonapur and SAI Sports complex in the city.

It may be mentioned here that earlier today the team visited Kolkata to inspect the Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium. Later they will travel to Bhubaneswar (November 29), Ahmedabad (November 30) and Navi Mumbai (December 1) for same purposes.
