It would be great if I am selected: Lovlina Borgohain

GUWAHATI: "I have been working hard to prepare myself for Olympics. If I am selected for Arjuna Award before the Olympics it will be great for me," said Lovlina Borgohain on her nomination for prestigious award.

Lovlina along with two other boxers- Simranjit Kaur and Manish Kaushik- were nominated by the Boxing Federation of India for Arjuna awards 2020 on Monday.

Talking to The Sentinel two-time World bronze medalist said, "It's great news for me that Boxing Federation of India has nominated my name for the prestigious award. It would be a proud moment for me if I am selected for the award."

Commenting on her preparation for the Olympics Lovlina said,"Due to lockdown training was not possible at outside. I have been training hard at my home. Hope normal training will start very soon."

It should be mentioned that star athelet Hima Das was the latest Arjuna Awardee from the state (in 2018).
