Jarbom Gamlin indoor stadium to host District Badminton Championship (DBC)

Itanagar: The District Badminton Championship themed ‘Discipline, duty and Sportsmanship Spirit through Badminton’ will be held at Jarbom Gamlin indoor stadium at Yomcha in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on August 17 and 18 next.

The venue and itinerary of the event was finalized under chairmanship of Dr K Rina at BN Club Aalo for Badminton events like U-9 yrs-Boys & Girls (Single & Double), U-11 yrs-Boys & Girls Single & Double, U-13 yrs- Boys & Girls Single & Double, U-15 yrs- Boys & Girls Single & Double, U-17 yrs- Boys & Girls Single & Double, U-19 yrs- Boys & Girls Single & Double and Open category-Men & Women Single & Double & Mixed doubles.

Selection of players for upcoming Dorjee Khandu Badminton Championship will be done from the participating players by selection committee assigned by district badminton association.

Players from West Siang and Shi Yomi districts could only take part in the tournament, an official release informed here on Thursday.
