Knights Martial Arts Academy Shine in National Vovinam Championship

Batadrava: Players of Knights Martial Arts Academy, Nagaon brought laurels to the State by bagging 6 Gold, 19 Silver & 22 bronze medals in 9th National Vovinam Championship held from July 1 to 5 at Bhogeswari Phukannoni Indoor Stadium, Guwahati. Total 41 players from the academy represented Assam. Debangana Bhuyan Borah, Mallika Das, Sneha Borkakoti, Kamal Borah, Ivanan Sharma and Anurag Laskar bagged gold medals. Mallika Das was adjusted as ‘Best Fighter’ in the Girls’ category.

All the players are being trained by Master Mintu Goswami and Master Mrinal Mahanta of Knights Martial Arts Academy. On the otherhand, Master Mintu Goswami was awarded with 3rd Dan Black belt, Master Mrinal Mahanta with 2nd Dan Black Belt and Master Rinkumoni Hazarika was with 1st Dan Black Belt during the tournament. Martial Art Grand Master Dr. Vishnu Sahai presented their Certificates.
