Lovlina Borgohain And Bhagyabati Kachari In Semi-Finals

GUWAHATI: Two boxers from Assam Lovlina Borgohain and Bhagyabati Kachari stormed into the semi-finals of the 3rd Elite Women’s Boxing Championship in Vijayanagara today.

Lovlina Borgohain defeated Anjali of Delhi by 3-2 in the 69 kg Welter Weight category. She will face Meemthoi Deviu of All India Police in the semi-final tomorrow.

On the other hand, Bhagyabati Kachari, who represented Railways, defeated Pratibha Thakur of HP by 5-0 in the 81 kg light Heavy category. The boxer will now face Jigyasa Rajput of MP tomorrow. Another Assam boxer Pwilao Basumatry (64), who participated for Railways, also enter into the last four today.
