GUWAHATI: ND 24 and DDK stromed into the semifinals of the 2nd North East Media T20 Cricket tournament as they registered comfortable victories in their last group matches at Judges Field today.

In the first match of the day, debutant ND24 thrashed Gana Adhikar 6 wickets. After restricting the opponent at just 98 runs, they reached the target in 14.4 overs losing 4 wickets.Man of the Match Ranjit Changmai remained unbeaten at 57 off 49 balls. Earlier, Ranjit grabbed 4 wickets for 29 and bundled out Gana Adhikar in 18.1 overs with the help of Amrit Giri's spell (4/17).

Bowlers shone in the second match. Electing to bat first, DDK's batsmen again failed to score big knocks and the team was bundled out for just 106 in 16.1 overs against Barak Media Association. Spinner Anirban Roychoudhury claimed 5 wickets for 8 runs. But DDK's speedsters, specially Anuj Basfore, wrapped up Barak's innings at just 63 in 14.3 overs. Man of the Match Anuj took 6 wickets for 14 while Gourang Gogoi took 3 for 8.

Tomorrow Janambhumi will take on News 18 while Shillong Press Club will lock horn with Barak Media Association.
