New committee of Upper Assam Golf Association formed

DIBRUGARH: The Annual General Meeting of Upper Assam Golf Association (UAGA) was held at Golfers' Den, Zaloni club, Duliajan on Sunday in presence of members of all constituent clubs. A new committee has been constituted with Samar Jyoti Chaliha as President and Sidharth Chaliha as Secretary.

UAGA is the oldest Golf Association of Upper Assam which was formed 44 years ago with the members from Tea, OIL, Coal and from the Armed Forces. It has been successfully organizing regular tournaments which include the most prestigious Golfing event-Assam Open or All Assam Amateur Invitational Golf competition (AAAIGC) at Digboi.

The new office bearers of the UAGA: President: Samar Jyoti Chaliha. Vice President: Sanglap Nahardeka. Secretary: Sidharth Chaliha. Treasurer: Dr Subha Deka. Jt Secretary: Anupam Talukdar. Ex-officio Member: Tridiv Hazarika. Advisors: Dr P Khaund and Dr MK Baruah.
