Pulin Das Memorial Committee Formed

Guwahati: With an objective to create an awareness about the immense contributions of late Pulin Chandra Das towards Assam's sports arena, sports lovers of the city today formed Pulin Das Memorial Committee. The committee will also work to initiate a state award in his name for sports journalism and sports literature.

Stating this in a press release the Secretary of the newly-formed committee Kalyan Kumar Das informed that Nayan Prasad will be the president of the new committee along with Subodh Malla Barua and Pronoy Bordoloi as vice presidents.

Four persons of eminence, Dr. Mukundakam Sharma (former Justice of Supreme Court and noted social activist), Pradip Barua (editor, 'Prantik' and veteran sportsperson), Dr. Paramananda Rajbongshi (former Asom Xahitya Xabha president and presently the MLA of Sipajhar LAC) and Premadhar Sharma (veteran sports journalist and sports organizer) will be the advisers. This is stated in a release.
