Santipur AC thrash New Star Club in Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship

GUWAHATI: Santipur AC thrashed New Star Club by 233 runs in the 3rd Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship tie held at the Judges Field here today. The highlight of the match was two centuries from Bishal Roy and Dharani Rabha, both played for Santipur AC and six wickets haul from their teammate Abir Chakaborty. Bishal took 65 balls to play the knock of 110 runs with the help of 21 boundaries and two sixes. Dharani faced 76 balls to score 110 and there were 15 boundaries and two sixes in his innings. On the other hand Abir spent 27 runs on way to bag 6 wickets in his 8 overs spell.

Meanwhile Pintu Yadav of Borahi Sports Club today picked up hat-trick in the competition playing against Napuk Sarathi Yuva Sangha. Chasing 217 runs to win Napuk Sarathi Yuva Sangha were bowled out 121 thanks to a fantastic spell from Pintu who finished 7-26 from his seven overs spell.

In another game at Tezpur Jayanta Kumar Karki (100, 71balls, 4x11, 6x2), scored century playing for KCC, Tezpur.
