IMPHAL: Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh introduced the Faceless/Contactless Service initiative for the State Transport Department, marking Good Governance Day. This new initiative aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility of public transport services across the state.

Speaking at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Imphal, CM Singh highlighted the significance of good governance and called on both government officials and citizens to collaborate for progress.

During the event, he also unveiled a book titled A Tribute to Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bharat Ratna on Centenary Birth Anniversary, honoring the late Prime Minister's remarkable contributions to the nation.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay’s flagship healthcare initiative, the 'Garib Jan Kalyan Prakosta,' has successfully provided free surgeries for over 1,200 patients suffering from various health conditions in Siliguri.

Patients traveling from Sikkim to Siliguri for gallbladder and kidney stone surgeries no longer have to bear any costs. The Prakosta will cover the full expense of the surgery, along with accommodation for the attendant and the cost of medicines.

The service for kidney stone patients was launched, with patients transported to Siliguri in two special SNT buses. A total of 32 patients were on board—ten with kidney stones and 22 with gallbladder stones.

Likewise, in a significant move towards eradicating tuberculosis, the District Health Services of Kokrajhar in Assam launched a 100-day intensified campaign as part of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program.

The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s bold objective of eradicating tuberculosis and making the country TB-free by 2025.
