Manipur Releases Final Electoral Rolls: Total Electors at 20,54,387, Says ERO

Manipur’s final electoral rolls, published by EROs, show a total of 20,54,387 electors, including 9,92,140 females and 10,61,979 males, as per the Election Commission of India.

IMPHAL: The final electoral rolls for Manipur have been published officially on January 6, 2025, by the concerned Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) in accordance with the schedule of the Election Commission of India. The total number of electors in the state is 20,54,387, which has increased by 19,727 voters from the draft rolls, which had 20,34,660 electors on October 29, 2024.

There has been a small increase in the gender ratio. From 1069 in the draft rolls, the gender ratio stands at 1070 in the updated rolls. The elector-population ratio has also risen to 55.37%, from 54.84% in the draft rolls. From the gender aspect, there are 9,92,140 females, 10,61,979 males, and 268 third-gender electors.

A total of 29,468 new electors were added during the revision period, with 13,348 males, 16,118 females, and 2 third-gender individuals. During this process, 9,741 electors were deleted from the rolls.

Further, the rolls have 21,148 service electors comprising 20,131 males and 1,017 females. Chief Electoral Officer Pradeep Kumar Jha appealed to the public at large and the political parties' representatives to examine the final electoral rolls. The rolls can be seen in the offices of the Electoral Registration Officers, Assistant EROs, Booth Level Officers or in their official website.

The final electoral rolls of Manipur reflect a steady increase in voter participation, highlighting progress in electoral transparency and gender inclusivity, ensuring fair representation in the upcoming elections.
