8 hurt in road mishaps over weekend in Shillong

SHILLONG: Eight persons have been injured in different accidents across the State over the weekend. Bester A Sangma (aged 30 years) sustained injuries as his scooty skidded in Kendrakona around 01:52pm on Saturday.

The victim was shifted by 108 Mahendraganj Base Ambulance to Mahendraganj CHC. In another incident, a 28 year-old unidentified male met with an accident. He was hit by a person driving a scooty at Nongmynsong on Sunday. The victim sustained mild nose bleeding, First aid and Wound care done and was shifted to Civil Hospital by 108 Shillong Base Ambulance.

Meioograce Warjri (23), Wanmiliancy Kharkrang (19) and Banshanlang Majaw (27) met with an accident after the Scorpio (black) with registration number ML05 F 7835, skidded and over turned at Mylliem 11th Mile around 10:31 am on Sunday. The victims sustained minor injuries. First aid was given and they were shifted to Pomlum PHC by 108 Pomlum base ambulance.

Fillbeneson Nongrum (17) was thrown off from the front windshield when the bus he was travelling dashed against a wall at Umiam View point around 1:27 pm on Sunday. He sustained multiple minor injuries. He was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong by 108 Shillong base ambulance.

Banshanlang Lyngkhoi (aged 19 years) who was riding a bike hit Shanbor Lapang (aged 26 years) while he was walking on the road. Both of them sustained injuries on Sunday morning, First aid and wound care done and they were shifted to Bhoirymbong CHC by 108 Bhoirymbong base ambulance
