Annual meeting of Meghalaya Pensioners’ Association (MPA) held in Shillong

Shillong: The 38th Annual General Meeting of the Meghalaya Pensioners’ Association (MPA) was held today at the Seminar Hall, State Central Library, Shillong which was attended by BK Dev Verma, IAS (Retd), Chairman as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the gathering, Verma said that the Government pensioners form a huge resource of the manpower who through their years of knowledge and experience can contribute towards nation building.

He added that it is therefore important to maintain a close link and contact with the pensioners. He also enlightened the gathering with a number of State and Central government initiatives for the pensioners to ease the grievances in pension sanction and payment to the pension holders. This has been stated in a prèss release.
