Art exhibition organized by Martin Luther Christian University in Shillong

SHILLONG: Swar Sangam, Kolkata, in collaboration with Martin Luther Christian University organized an art exhibition titled “North East Cultural Discourses: Visual and Text.” The objective of the exhibition was to focus on social values and identities through art forms like pictorial landscape, humanscape or urbanscape. Art forms like ‘Painting to 3D Design’ or ‘Drawing to Photography’ were exhibited. The project work that comprised of original book arts, illustrations, drawings, photographs, digital graphics and installations is based on the cultural discourses of the North East, for example – the Holy Kingdom and Hornbill birds. More than 300 works were exhibited in the premises of MLCU, Shillong.
