Attempted suicide turns into injury in Shillong

Shillong: One person injured himself on Wednesday after he tried to commit suicide. According to authorities a mentally challenged person identified as Johnny Wahlang (38) slit his throat with a knife at Ritmawniew, Sadew village of East Khasi Hills district at around 10:4o am. The victim sustained deep cut and severe bleeding injuries. First aid and wound care was done and he was shifted immediately to Civil Hospital Shillong.
