BJP candidate for Shillong seat Sanbor Shullai hits the road

SHILLONG: BJP candidate for the Shillong Lok Sabha polls, Sanbor Shullai in public meetings held in Jowai, Khliehriat, Dawki, Amlarem, Pynursla and Mairang stated that he feels sorry about the lack of infrastructure and development in the area.

Highlighting on the on development schemes initiated by the BJP-led government, Shullai said that now villages across the county can be connected through the PMGSY scheme (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak yojna) initiated by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Shullai informed the people that the BJP government has given special preference to northeastern States by way of development in the tourism sector.

“The BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi will form the Government in the Centre,” he said.

He said that if the people elect him as their representative in the Parliament, his first priority would be to resolve the mining issue within a short span of time.

Taking a jibe at senior Congress leader Ronnie V Lyngdoh’s statements, Shullai said that action speaks louder than words and only a good social worker knows the ground reality and people who talk much cannot yield mauch results.
