Bridge connecting Ruga Village burnt in Garo Hills

TURA: Miscreants set afire a timber bridge connecting Ruga Village to others areas of the Garo Hills region late Tuesday night. Subsequently, the bridge was closed to heavy traffic. The bridge in South Garo Hills connects Ruga to Dimapara and further to the NH-62. Sources informed that the fire was doused by alert villagers though some damage was done. Meanwhile, a police team from the Dimapara outpost visited the site of incident. A case has been registered in this regard. (Agencies)
