BSF and Meghalaya police of Namchapara seized 23 Cattle worth Rs 3,44,200

GUWAHATI: The BSF and Meghalaya police of Namchapara carried out a joint operation at Ramchinga village and its surrounding area and seized 23 cattle worth Rs 3,44,200 which were meant for smuggling to Bangladesh from Tura. The BSF in a statement expressed its gratitude to Meghalaya police and said that if more such joint operation are undertaken, cattle smuggling is bound to come down to minimum along the Meghalaya border.
